Following their triumph of the 2019 FIFA Woman’s World Cup in France, the USWNT was gearing up for a victory tour that would kick off in a very familiar place for the athletes: The Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California. It was there, in 1999, that many of the current USWNT athletes give credit to when they first saw how far a girl could go. And go far they did.
